The South Central CSC is excited to announce its Fiscal Year 2017 Request for Proposals. The SC CSC seeks to support decision-relevant research regarding the impacts of climate variability and climate extremes on natural resources and human communities.

Criteria for successful proposals include scientific merit, management relevance, stakeholder involvement, and study team qualifications pertinent to the research topic.

The deadline for submitting Statements of Interest (SOIs) is January 18th, 2017. The SC CSC will request that Full Proposals be developed and submitted for selected SOIs. PIs whose SOIs are selected for Full Proposal development will be notified by February 3rd, 2017.

Only Principle Investigators (PIs) meeting the following criteria are eligible to submit Statements of Interest (SOI) or Proposals in response to this Funding Opportunity:

1. Institutions that are either Host Institutions or Consortium Members for the requesting DOI Climate Science Center

2. USGS centers, field stations, laboratories, Cooperative Research Units, etc.

Parties from other organizations (Federal, State, Tribal, or other) can participate and receive funds via sub-award from the PI, but the proposal submitter and PI must be from an eligible organization.
